Amy made the ten commandments out of wood building blocks and tied them together with her robe belt - so creative this girl of ours is! She's memorized 8 out of the 10, and then has a commandment for hitting as well - "thou shalt not hit - Katie." Poor Katie - everyone correcting every little move she makes.
Today was the last ballet class - yippee! We have completed a (school) year of ballet, and I can see the progress from September to May. We will try to return in the fall, as it has turned out to be a worthwhile activity that demands some self-discipline, as well as offering social time with a nice group of other 5 year old girls.
Last night we attended the homeschool group awards ceremony - all of us, including Grandma. It was lovely and encouraging; just nice to be around other people going on the same path.
Katie is demanding us to read her books!! She is definately on a growth spurt - mental and physical. Today she grabbed the umbrella from the car and said, "Mine! Amy, no!" I just feel like some day soon, the words are just going to burst out of her in non-stop streams - she's collecting so much information right now.
