Freshly Painted!

We painted the classroom this week in a cool shade of pale yellow-green called ancestral gold -it looks great and pictures will be posted soon! With the shelves, books and supplies back in place, we are ready to fall back into our regular morning rountine of breakfast and morning class time; we've really missed doing that this week.

Some of the things we've done this week: put up a platform bird feeder, planted butterfly bushes, sunflowers and put up the hummingbird feeder. The bird and butterfly garden is definately an evolving project.

Katie's desire for knowing the name of everything she sees is at an all time high this week! Mentally, she seems to be growing like a big 'ol weed! She points at *everything* , asking for its name. She brings me stacks of picture books, grabs my hand and points me to the sofa, so that we can "read" together. Her brain is thirsty for any information we give her - so exciting to watch!
